My work at the anniversary exhibition of the cultural center of Ciney: Lifetime journey, journey of a lifetime. Dimensions of the textile creation: 1m50 x 2m
My work was build up from the center, the position of the heart and soul.
Through embroidered auto portraits I am telling fragments of (my) life based on the emotions and feelings they evoke in me. The speech bubbles includes questions and comments that encouraged the viewer to think about his role and responsibility for his own survival and that of others.
I’ve no ready-made answers to (world) problems. I just cherish hope that every single person will be aware of the main problems and take his responsibility. At the same time I want to give the visitor an underlying message of hope.
